Curious about Ghost Recon 2 Problem.

I have asked my friends that I play with on a normal basis about this, and I get the puzzled "Huh?" So, I thought I would ask you all.

Not all the time, but more than I care to experience I will pop in Ghost Recon 2, in my beloved XBox, and it will of course go to the intro screen where you see the Tom Clancy/GhostRecon 2 logo. Well, sometimes it will sit on that screen for 30 seconds or more. When this happens, I cannot hit the "A" button to skip the intro cinemas. I mean I can hit the button, but nothing happens, so I have to sit through all that garb. Don't get me wrong, it's cool and all, but once you have seen it, if you are like me, you don't care to sit through it again.

Ghost Recon 2, and Ninja Gaiden are the only games that have ever done this with me. I can bank on Ninja Gaiden doing this, and half the time Ghost Recon 2 aswell. I was just curious if anyone else experienced this issue with Ghost Recon 2.

What I usually do is, when the ubisoft screen appears or the red storm screen appears, I immediately hit the 'A' button(I think it's the A button, for sure it's the green one) so I don't have to go through the whole cinema in the beginning.

Regarding Ninja Gaiden, I haven't had that problem.

Hey Steel,

When is the patch supposed to be out for GR2? If I don't get it for Christmas I'll probably buy it shortly after. Not today though, we got like a foot of snow overnight. I've used the snowblower for the 2nd time at my place today.

Mac, you and I have discussed the dreaded red X disease, errors, etc. I haven't mentioned this particular problem to you yet, I don't think...may have been ******ssed out. But, since we are here, have you had it too? Lol.

Heh. Played some Old Skool ainbow last night -sharpshooter. I was...reminiscent. *tears*. Good times eh, Mac?

Yes I get this problem too, i used to think it wasnt reading my controller until I relized that it finally moved after the cinematic. I get this more often then not, actually. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif

Yeah we got it several times last night . Jsd did also about three times to be presise. Really got him mad. We got discusted after playing and went back to Black arrow for the rest of the eveing .

I think it does that the first time you put the disc in. For some reason they want you to see the cinematic if you are a first time player. I've had to delete my saved game a few times and after I start up a new game it does that to me.

If you've never deleted a saved profile or anything, it may be a glitch that causes your Xbox to think you are loading the game for the first time ever.

Just my theory.
