Problems installing the game

hey people

i have just been given the game from a friend thought i would try it out but turns out my CD rom or DVD drive isnt reading the disk but it works on another computer of mine but i cant install it on that one??

any suggestions?

Ok what is happing is my CD rom or my DVD rom is not recognizing the dark messaih CD so i cant install it onto my computer but my Roms work with all other CDs so im abit confussed about what to do http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif

but when i tryed to put it into a diffrent computer the CD works stright away it auto runs and lets me install it so al i can think of is its a softwear problem but then why do other CD work im my drives?

has any one got a fix or had the same problem?

CD drive doesn't work. You need DVD drive to play this game.

yer i have a dvd drive but it wont regester the game CD that i put into it but it works in another drive on another computer

I'm having the same problem... I have a second CD drive and it installed fine but I'm unable to run the game because of an error after the intro movies (which I cannot see- all I see if a white screen but the audio runs).

ugh we need system specs, and we need what the error message is displaying *rolls eyes*

They'll never learn if you know what i'm talking about people lol

just register the game with steam and download it via steam. i dont think you would need the DVD to install this way.
