First time I played Dune on my brother's Sega Megadrive. He said that a wierd problem in the game (something that had to do with the Sonic Tank) is called as a "bug" in english http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

First time I heard the word bug was during an english lesson I think. They said it was a translation for the swedish word "skalbagge" wich is a sort of insect. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif

My sister said a friend of hers had a lot of bugs bug in his computer, so I sugested a really strong pesticide. (sorry I haven't been here lately... been vacationing, visiting relatives in the offline world, them visiting me... sometimes I think I was less stressed at school)
P.S. And I'll be gone a few weeks more... so hope to get to read all your <STRIKE>spam</STRIKE>posts

I think it was in Super Mario Bros. where you need to use a bug to reach a secret stage. When the guy said me that I was lost. "Bug? But this stage has no bugs! I don't think I ever saw a bugf in this game so far actually... unless those brown little things are bugs..."

Now, do any of you know the origin of the word "bug" as to problems with programs?

If my source is correct, it was a military computer used in one of the minor warfares in the cold war (maybe in the vietnam war), it was used to calculate angles of firing for bombardment. A private found out that the computer weren't calculating quite well and went to check the eletronics. He found a fried moth in the circuits. Then he reported that a "bug" was the problem.

You were quite right, just some fullfilment of the answer http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif
