Hear alarm, see guard, see intercom. Grab guard take guard to intercom, force guard to talk to intercom, alarm no hear no more http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

At least thats how it's supposed to work. Just like the retnal scanners do/did. Forced co-operation.

Try it some time http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Does the PS2 version has that? ( I'm always asking it LOL )
That is never going to happen because I never get seen.

Is it maybe just for 360? Have you done it on oldbox?<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Yeah like I don't know the difference. The XBox version, not the 360 one. Don't recall having this in the 360 as you would be dead as soon as the alarm sounded in that. So no point to it in that version, but could be there as well. Again never tried it when I had it and was just glad to get rid of it, so I will never know, I suppose.

I'm just going on what is writen in the manual that came with the game under "Forced Co-operation" in the "Non-Player Character-Linked Moves" section:

Quote-
Some objects in the world can't be used by Sam, but there may be NPCs who can use the objects for him. To force an NPC to co-operate, grab him, drag him to the object you want him to use and select the appropriate interaction from the selection menu. <span class="ev_code_YELLOW">Sam can enlist the "help" of NPCs to open doors using retinal scanners or to reset the alarm level through the use of intercoms</span>.

Yeah it is the XBox versions manual (page 9 in the PAL version). I don't trigger alarms so I have not tried this out, but it should work as there are intercoms everywhere in the game.

Anyway as I said try it and see. Thats how it should work.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Has anyone done this yet? I tried it on the first level but no dialogue box popped up. Maybe I dragged the guard over to a fire alarm or something.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

It works on the Gamecube version, so I assume it would be the same on the PS2 and Xbox. Grab a guard, drag his sorry butt to the intercom, make a witty remark about how talking to the intercom could be good for his health, wait for him to do so, then rethink the part about his good health. The only problem is that it is more difficult to approach a guard without being noticed when the alarm level is above 0.

I don't think it works on xbox, at least not on mine anyways. I brought the guard to one of those little white boxes with a red circle and the word 'alarm' in red, but no interaction window popped up. what's the dilly-o yo?<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Yep, worked on mine, just tested it out. Yeah, a lot harder to get to a guard in alarm status http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif No not the alarm button (white thing with a red circle and alarm on it), try an intercom (box like thing with a little button on it and a grill to speak into).<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

They're white panels, with a light on the bottom right corner - Red if there's an alarm, Green when there's not.

PLEASE release essentials on the TV Consoles and the PC because from what i heared of it it is damned good but i'm not buying a PSP for 1 0wnage game. The thing is overpriced already. I really hope they would release it on PC/GC/PS2/Xbox/360. I really hope so.

UBI has enough on their plate with Assassin's creed and SCC, don't make them get overloaded so they give it to shanghai or something.

I have a PSP and it is missing an anolog stick and would make Essentials unessential
that would be cool essentials for PS2 and all it is flashbacks to old games and to DA
