"Get Rosen" bug

I've spent the past 2 hours beating the "Get Rosen" level in all it's variations. I have tried reversing the sequence of objectives, and I have inserted on both available areas. Also, I have tried the "follow" command to get him in the chopper. I have even tried pushing him in the chopper. Nothing will work. At one point he just stood there looking up at the sky.

I am running the DVD version updated to 1.40 .

Did you try getting out of the chopper and getting in the other side ?? With the follow order on ?

When I first completed the "Get Me Rosen" scenario, Rosen wouldn't get into the helicopter. I thought it was a bug, as did many others. Rosen will only get into the helicopter if you first issue the "follow" command to him directly. He is not a Ghost and is not subject to a "group" order. Select Rosen as you might select a individual Ghost and then select the "follow" command for Rosen. Get into the helicopter and Rosen will follow. This works every-time because there is no "Rosen not getting into the helicopter" bug. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif

I choose Rosen (#3 key), I use my middle mouse button to choose the 'follow' command from menu, then I hit the #3 key to issue the order, and he just sits there looking up at the sky.

I've tried it at the beginning to see if he would follow me throughout the map, I've tried it in the middle, and I've tried it in the end. No luck!

I'll add that 2 other friends are having the same problem. We all bought the game from different locations. Same version 1.0 that has been updated to the 1.4 patch.

You would think the developers could release a patch to get Rosen to follow you like a Ghost after the objective is met. It wouldn't be that hard, and seeing how many people are having this problem it would be worth the patch to save face. I've seen 4 other sites with people having the exact same problem, and have tried everything that I have. It IS a bug for some people, but maybe not for others.

Here is my setup if it helps.

Abit AW9D Max motherboard
Intel Core 2 Extreme QX6800 CPU
2 - XFX Geforce 8800 GTX video cards
ABIT AudioMAX HD 7.1 CH sound


I've updated all of my video drivers, and everything is fine with my system.

They clicking the left mouse button to issue the "follow" command instead of the #3 key. This mens moving the cursor to "follow" and then left clicking the command. Once you get it, you'll splap yourself for not being able to see this before hand. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Nope ... that didn't work.

If I left click it just shoots. I can scroll to the option for him to 'follow', but after I hit the #3 key it jumps down to the 'move' option. I can't even get him to respond to ANY command I give him on the drop down menu. He just walks a few steps then turns around and goes back to his original position.

The other Ghost responds fine to the 'move' on the drop down menu, but he will not follow the 'follow' order either. After I hit 'follow' for him it jumps down to the 'move' key as well.

Oops ..... my mouse was the problem. It was set to 'Next Window' instead of the default 'middle mouse button'. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif
