Hello Scrodriguez,
Okay let me try this once more. I hate when it doesn't post the first time and I gotta retype. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-mad.gif
If your using jpg or bmp image's you can do what I do. It work's fairly well and it's quite simple to do. I open whatever image I want to add to my plane with PSP7. I immediately save it as a "Paint Shop Pro Image". I select the "Selection" tool and select the area around the image. I will then copy this selection. Now I create a "New Raster Layer" to place the selection I copied onto. After pasting it onto the raster layer I hide it. I then choose the background layer and paint it black. You can paint it whatever color you wish of course. After it's painted I will un-hide the raster layer with the image on it. Now I will select the "Magic Wand" tool and left click on the white background that's around the insignia. If it's going to remove some of the insignia I will adjust the "Tolerance" option for the magic wand. When I get it to where it's not going to remove any of the insignia,I remove it. Each image will most likely have to have a different tolerance level. You want it so it doesn't remove any of the image but remove as much of the white (or whatever color background) as possible. One thing I forgot to mention was after I've removed the background from the insignia I save it so I can re-use it again later on. Well I hope you understand that and can use it. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif =S=
P.S. Now if I have to repost that again I'm going to be mad.

Squirral;
Thanks. Even though I didn't post this question I learned something.
This is the kind of step-by-step detail I've been looking for.
