My only beef with the graphics in the crew uniforms, they look sooooo fake. The cloth needed more work.

whenever i see "making of" documentaries on animation computer films like the Incredibles, or stuff like Star Wars, it's ofte mention how, in particular, clothing and hair are extremely computer intensive/annoying to get to look realistic.

Proper hair and cloth simulatio in SHIII would probably send FPS into the single digits or worse haha

Media wise I am not currently at home so I cannot have a look for you.

As for going back and trying the game again I would simply like to have a few hours to run through the dynamic campaign. Testing it out to see how it "feels".

I would also love to watch that transport ship that I hit sink again. There were lifeboats, trucks and various items flying everywhere! It looked simply fantastic as her back broke and she slipped under.

Watching a destroyer that had been hiot and was listing badly as she carried on hunting for me whilst other vessels moved in to protect her.

Seeing a frigate put itself in the way of me and the carrier it was protecting!

At one point I managed to put the boat on the bottom at a depth of 155m. This enabled me to evade a vessel that had dc'd me twice, causing flooding in various compartments which seemed to be why I could not get the boat back up.

The crew management screen is very easy to use and works well. To assign a crew member to the damage repair party you simply drag him into the appropriate window and it is done.

Waffling on a bit now, need to get home and get to bed http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

Halflife2 managed it and that's a FPS, not a static boat crew..

i forgot to say that i dont think it shouldnt be improved if possible, just that it may be hard to achieve (regardless of wether or not it is FPS intensive or easy on FPS, making it work properly is also needed).

but if they manage to improve later (or modders do!), im all for it http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Warren, does that mean that cargo can go slide around the deck of a merchant when listing over heavily or get blasted off by nearby explosions ?

sounds sweet http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Yep! We witnessed trucks being blown through the air by explosions and so on.

Were they actually 3D(modelled)? Maybe not all is lost in our search for truth, justice, and the 'reality' way!

They were all 3d modelled but were empty at all times. I never saw a lifeboat floating after a vessel had gone down, these were just lifeboats thatwhilst part of the ships model, acted independantly when an explosion took place. Hope that makes sense, it's 05.15 and I am about to leave for work http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

Exactly - thatâ´s the point! Discussed that already intensively before, among others with Beeryus, who was also engaged in that question, but with different conclusions. I said even, this could be a reason for me not to buy the game.

For my well qualified and experienced ongame-LI (my son, 6) it should be a wonderful thing, but me for myself, hmmm...?

Mainly these Arnold Superman-swelled chests all the figures show do appear as a bit overdone from my view. Looks funny but is therefore inappropriate within a serious simulation, I think. As a grown up you may think by yourself "...hope my wife will not catch me playing that - and tell it her psychoanalyst too..."

Question for graphic-experts: Wouldnâ´t it be possible giving the figures a normal embodiment like you and me got from mother nature?
