Good, something else to wait for. Character building I call it.
Here's something else.
Fighter Ops. (http://www.fighterops.com/index.php)
They're cunning though, you pay to see game development updates. If only Oleg'd thought of that?

I'v been following this for a little now and it looks like aerosoft are really going to do this well if all goes ahead, they seem very very keen to listen to the customers needs and wants as a priority over nearly all else, somethng microsoft never really did.
Also doed anyone here actually know an ETA for fighterops? from what I'v seen it really does look fanastic but I'll be dammed if I'll pay just to see development pics, which is an idea that turned me off it initially.
well that and the fact by the time its released I'll probably be purchasing my first fully interactive holodeck http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

It's Ok, depending on how you like to fly. If you like AI traffic, filing flight plans, planning for weather, communicating with controllers, etc., then FSX is the way to go. If you simply like flying the plane with nothing else to worry about, and creating your own craft, then X-Plane might fit the bill.

You shouldn't forget to mention that X-plane has a much smaller community than Fs - but that's due to change in the future.
It has lots of potential to be discovered by most people.

My primary draw to FSX is that it simulates the RL civilian flight experience, which definately include flight plans, ATC, and traffic. I was bummed when MS axed FS for there were holes in FSX that I wished filled by a later release.
