Problems accessing free flight mode

Thought I'd have a go in free-flight mode to get used to the controls etc before jumping straight into the main campaign, but I can't get into it.

The free flight option is shown under Campaign, but it won't allow me to select it (does not highlight). Has anybody else experienced this, or am I missing something obvious, ie does it just unlock after a certain level?

Its just not made available in the PC demo... Unless of course, some modding power is involved...http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Sorry, should have stated - this is on the full version (Playstation 3)

To my understanding you have to play a mission in the campaign to unlock it in the free-flight mode.

every map you play in campaign mode, unlocks that map in the free flight mode.

so just start playing...

i was so frustrated that i couldnt jump into assistance off mode for the first couple of missions, and had to google it to see that i wasnt missing something.

i do every mission in assistance off, thou some needs to be done with ERS, so those are the exceptions.

Some clarification of this should have been done in the manual wich i read through.

Wait. After you beat the campaign once can you use assistance off in those first few missions?

from one of the videos i've seen... yes... or maybe... because he wasn't using it during the fighting, just during the initial sequence he deactivated assistance... and back on... and stayed on all the way o.O

but he never turns it off later neither so ... i dunno

its not available because you need to play the missions to unlock the maps
