When I click on the settings and try to change the resolution, anytime I try to change it from 640x480 to anything else, it says "resolution not available with selected refresh rate".
The problem is when I click the drop down box for refresh rates, the only selectable one is 120mhz!? WTH.
Here's a pic - http://img88.imageshack.us/img88/679/screen011he.jpg (http://imageshack.us)
So unfortunately I cannot select the desired 1024x768 - 85hz combo.
I uninstalled Refresh Fix and any other program that was trying to lock refresh rates.
Does anyone know why this is happening or how I can fix it?
Thanks.

I just downloaded and installed the Blazing Angels demo and I'm getting the same problem with the settings screen. Only 120mz is available.
I'm a little worried that for some reason I'm the only one experiencing this problem. I play many games and have never had any issues like this.
My rig:
Athlon 64 3200+
1gb corsair xms pc3200
sapphire x800xt 256mb(cat 6.3)
Win. Xp Pro SP2
Samsung SyncMaster 753DF 17" CRT

Good Luck, but at the moment, it seems like Blazing Angels has a lot of bugs. Definitely reminds me of a mmo in beta testing.
Too bad this isn't an mmo, and frightening enough, we paid 40 bucks to Ubi for a craptacular, un-refined game.

Here is a link to the Heroes of the Pacific Forum, also a UBISoft game, at least they distribute it, addressing the same issue. It is a Windows/Video Card issue;

Hopefully it relates.

Boy did it ever relate!
Turns out I had to update my monitors driver to get the game to update the refresh rates. Now I have my choice of all the different refreshes.
I first tried the manual refresh override under DXDIAG but that didn't do anything.
Anyways, I appreciate your help in this matter RMcSLash. You saved this game for me. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
