New installation of RVS, updated to v1.6 (had this problem w/ v1.0 though).
Open RVS, select Multiplayer, click Login, enter username and pass, click OK, wait ~10 seconds, nothing.
Opening UBI.com application, same thing, only it just tells me it cannot contact any of the servers.
I have my PC in the DMZ on the router, tried w/ cable connection directly into the NIC. Update manager within RVS tells me no updates available, yadda yadda.
Is the RVS multiplayer system down? Any help would be much appreciated!

Sounds like there might be a firewall blocking the connection. Do you have the XP firewall on? I haven't noticed multiplayer login problems in a while.

No firewall though, that is the problem. Windows firewall is off, all other NICs are disabled.
I am just reinstalling. UGH.

I am an idiot.
Peer Guardian Lite was blocking UBISoft IPs for some reason.

This same thing happens to me when I try to log in at school. I turned off all the firewalls there and it still happens. It does work when I log on at home.

Your school's network admin probably has those connections blocked within a router somewhere. You'd have to ask him/her to open up holes in the router firewall to connect.
