First off, if you made maps you would obviously know there is no waterfall tool or a zipline tool, and secondly, there is no way to raise the water level... its stuck at its level. You can however make the water deeper. Also about the walkways without rails, you can make land bridges or use the "ruins" type, theyve got no rails, otherwise u cant take off the rails.

I think it's likely the devs made all of these considerations.
i would love to be able to use suspended bridges, waterfalls, turrets, ziplines, etc.
But I'm sure there was problem implementing them in the editor.
which I must add is very slick for a console
Edit:
Who knows... With the obvious value of the editor, we may see more features.

I'm looking for a way to do something similar. Is there a way to get dirt paths on elevated terrain. It seems that onece you get past a height of about 4 feet, everything is green. I want dirt trails up onn the hills. How do I do it?

Whodas, simply use the terrain editor, then select the paint mode (with the left trigger), then choose sand. Then simply use the smallest brush size available and paint on your tracks.

Thanks, I didn't realize the left trigger gives you all those options like raise and extend too. This is great. Maybe you can help me with something else. I don't have Xbox live, so I've been creating my maps hoping to try them out on split-screen like it says you can. The maps don't show up in the list of maps in split-screen mode. I tried publishing it and it says "Can't publish because it doesn't have any completed multiplayer modes". I tried inserting the minimum multiplayer requirements for predator like sonic alarm, respawn points etc. What do I need to do to play this map?

This is where the instruction book is misleading. For chaos it says you need four spawn points. I came to the conclusion that you need 8 team spawn points so 8 red and 8 blue, and 8 player spawns (the white ones) that is what I needed to get chaos and if you add a green and red samle stand, you get steel the sample. Once you have enough spawn points and player points, it comes up and says that you have whatever game mode. If you dont meet the requirments for a game type, you can publish it I think but cant actualy play it in MP.

Thanks ETA. I seriously considered adding everything just to make it work. Just for your info, it won't even let me publish the map unless I meet requirements. Anyhow, time to try it out.

Well, I tried it out and was able to publish the map, but now when I try to play split screen, it doesn't show up on the map list. All I see is FORSAKEN TEMPLE[1]. Still at a loss.

the map list should have the base 14 or so maps plus your published maps. You likely need to back up to one of the first options menus to see all the maps available; when you're at the menu that allows you to pick game type, map, time, leader icon, launch, etc use the directional pad up to go to each then select with A. Good luck.

14 maps? I must not by pressing the directional keypad in the right direction. I'll have to try again.
UPDATE: Never mind, I figured it out. Thanks to all.

In the map editor movie, there was a path mode, but they obviously took it out, which is stupid, cause you need paths/roads.

no, they didnt, you use the brush tool, and make a road out of the sand brush...
see if you guys posted on the mmu forums, i could answer these questions alot sooner because i dont come to these forums as often due to the MMU forums and my clan forums...

In the video it was a "path" tool, which looked like you could only apply one texture to the ground, the canned "path" texture. The final version of the map editor has a "paint" tool instead, which has a choice of three textures. A much better tool if you ask me.
