I was having my doubts, but I have to admit the game looks pretty promising. There are a few obvious flaws that need to be worked out, but there are still several months before release. There have also been several flaws from earlier videos that I have seen fixed in these newer videos, so I'm sure the boys are hard at work.

I saw that face stab video yesterday and i hate to say this but the level where there was fire surrounding everywhere looked terrible, it looks like the devils bloody garden!its just horrible to put that much flame and fire everywhere i hope they reduce that.
And Yeah the date is now official its all over the gearbox forums and headlines, it august 8th.
But its still quite a long way from now, we have to wait approximatley 3 and half months, but all im happy about is that its now definatley gonna come out http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

I'm sure the fire is there for a reason. It is either somewhat historically accurate or it was the only way they could make stuff visible on a night mission.
I'm sure Call of Duty 4 can entertain me for another 3 months.

Too much flame and fire?! Dude...this game is based on war. I'm sure they were far more flames in actuality than what are being put into the game. Tanks blow up and spray flaming gas everywhere, buildings catch fire, hell even men catch fire. If anything I would assume the carnage has been scaled down. I'm sure you dont need the reminder...but the game is called Hell's Highway.
