When Bruce Porter was CO of VMF(N)-542 in Okinawa, he flew a matt black Hellcat he lovingly called "Black Death." There's a little story about how he named it and had it painted on his hand-me-down fighter; part of it is in the skin description on IL2skins. Porter flew two tours in the Pacific, one with VMF-121 flying Corsairs, and one as CO of this squadron of night fighters. He scored five kills. Skin link is below.
