Trying to get on Live [Archive]

Hi, I'm new here and new to on-line games. I've been waiting with much anticipation to playing URU (got a taste of it when my copy came via Amazon today).

My problem is this: When I clicked on the button that asked if I wanted to try the on-line game, I was asked if I had an account. I replied yes, as I thought it wanted my UBI account. Now the menu is different and asks how I want to manage my account (my URU-live account, which I have not yet validated). Since I can't access it via my game menu, I went to my UBI account and plugged my CD key in there. It wasn't recognized.

What do I do now?

At some point after registering your CD key, you will be sent an email inviting you to join the Prologue.

I don't know how often the invites are sent out. The first batch of 500 went out earlier this week. I registered on Monday and still haven't recieved my invitation. However, we've all been assured that anyone wishing to participate in the Prologue will get a chance to do so.

Thanks Pa'lua, but my problem is that I've been unable to register my CD key....

OK, nevermind I'm registered! (Problem was dumb; I typed in an O for a zero...)

Don't worry - you're not being stupid at all. I did that too. They chose a really bad font for something that would include random strings, including 0 and Os. Why not a font with a line through 0s, that would have been much clearer?

I feel a bit better, I registered on Monday, too, and am really looking forward to Uru Live. It's a bit frustrating to wait, but I guess I'll just have to be patient.....

Well, I suppose the small glitches like these help alleviate the bottleneck of people trying to get on live; it certainly delayed my registration by at least a day and who knows how long it'll be before we get the patiently waited-for email?
