Come on people, make your vote so Ubisoft can see which game we players really liked best, and should consider to make their next game a littler more like http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Day of the Destroyer. It was one of the first games I ever get, and the first Might and Magic game, too.

Edit: LEGENDS OF MIGHT AND MAGIC FTW \o

well.... where to begin....
mandate of heaven was nice...
blood and honor was even better imho
havn't played day of the destroyer
didn't like IX at all... somehow it had a different feel and i neither like it's style...
as for dar messiah i don't think that it can be put in this line... i see it more like an all new game (and maybe even as a new series)

so out of the might and magic line blood and honor definitely but i can't decide between dm and mm VII

The Mandate of Heaven had the poorest graphics, but the story was unbeatable. It also was so hard to finnish, so you had to be good to make it. I think Might & Magic VI - The Mandate of Heaven is the best MM so far.

Dark Messiah was the best in graphics, but the story was too simple, and you had no freedom to go building up skills and such in the mountains, finding small keeps and things like that. By the way so have both Dark Messiah and MM IX much to learn when it comes to the inventory part. One of the most exciting things about the three other cames is when you find an new item, and you can see it is a special artifact.. I think MM IX and Dark Messiah lost it here, in combination with no freedom to go where you want, when you want it. Go dragon-hunting in The Mandate of Heaven do i really miss http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

Off of the top of my head... almost none of it is in the list.

My top spot for best M&M game is always Heroes of M&M 2. It is simple, it is balanced, it looks fantastic with extremely minimal system requirements. Wonderful music, most fun I've ever had.

Other games that I kind of enjoyed: Dark Messiah (disappointing ending), World of Xeen (too hard, and the story is all over the place), Heroes 1, 3, and 5 (1 is a work in progress, 3 made the game too complicated, 5 feels like 3 with more bugs and new graphics, 4... no comment), Crusader of M&M (a lot of fun actually, very underrated)

Loved all the series, as others said cant really compare Might and Magic to Heroes or Dark Messiah though.

Might and magic 6 was definatley my favorite in that series, Cant remember why but I just remember having a lot more fun on it than the others.

Heroes 5 is my fav for that series, very similar to heroes 3 but better, which 3 was my all time favorite until 5 came out.

To top it off though I vote Dark Messiah, why? because I play it a LOT more than I played the others. I can just jump online, dont have to spend 2 days to get somewhere and you get constant action.

I see what you mean. I could play Might and Magic 6 (VI) Mandate of Heaven for hours without getting bored. It was something magical with it. I still play it alot, especially when I saw how much better it was than the Dark Messiah in story and excitement.

Me and the most of my friends agree to this list of the best Might and Magic games in this order:

1. Might & Magic VI - The Mandate of Heaven
2. Might & Magic VIII - Day of the Destroyer
3. Dark Messiah of Might & Magic
4. Might & Magic VII - For Blood and Honor
5. Might & Magic IX

Maybe Ubisoft could take the Might & Magic VI - Mandate of Heaven and use their very good graphics prosessor and make the graphics as good as it was on Dark Messiah.

It would be a BIG sucess i think, for the players in fun and excitement, and for Ubisoft a big economical income.

nr 7, i got 6 when i was already too spoiled by good looking graphics, so didn't play that very long altough the story i had already seen was the best ever. 7could very well compete qua quality of story but was much shorter, then it had better grapphics. 8 was also good, mostly in the line of 7 first time i played that took me ages, nbut can play it out now in like 6 hours. 9 was let's say it polite ,****, had no relation with former games, inventory sucked, storyline was weak, and i played it all the way trough,

dark messiah is a complete totaly other game and should not be put in this poll it's like comparising halflife2 with oblivion

I like only Dark Messiah, becouse it is completely different game. I tried M&M6 and 7, but Elder Scrolls series was always beating them easily.

This is the only MM game i have ever played, I am a fan of Baldurs gate, Elder Scrolls..... games like that, so would the other MM games be any good on your opinions, or are the other titles like elder scrolls better?

elder scrolls and might and magic are quite different
elder scroll is an rpg where you only have one character and mostly play in 3person,it's an openworld, but it's story is mostly one way

might and magic is an rpg wwhere you control a party and play in first-person, it's also an openworld but it has multiple endings depending on some choisses

Only MM VII has two real endings. MM VI also has two, but it's only one scroll different http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Elder Scrolls series has been always mainly first person game, Morrowind was first game in series which introduced 3rd person view option, but there has always been first person view in every Elder Scrolls game.

In Elder Scrolls series there has been even multiplayer first person game called Battlespire, but it wasn't very popular, becouse it was released -97 when nobody had internet connections. Guess what was Battlespire's gamespot score? Right, it was 6.7 again http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Sorry, but neither of those replies to my questions was an answer lol

I know elderscolls, i know some other rpg's such as Baldurs Gate, Never Winter nights,

I am just saying that DM is my first MM game, and i love this game, so i was wondering

If any of the other MM games are as good if not better, and if you found playing them was more interested than the other titles i have mentioned

It all depends on taste. The classic M&M's are more story based, less action, more tactics.

well i would say the old m&m games are 'different'... imho it's hard to compare them with dm
so... they definitely have a longer story and have far more rpg elements (that's why they are called rpgs i guess o0)

really depends on your taste... imo they are great games... dm is great though too
