Don't bother with the flash drive crap right now. If you really gotta have it, well, I don't know why you would.

Alienware makes great stuff. I'm really pleased with mine.

Yes Alienware has a payment plan you can apply for. But I suggest you check out www.ibuypower.com (http://www.ibuypower.com) this is where I bought my pc and I'm very pleased with it. I purchased it back in march and for around 1,400.00 (US) I got myself a nice system I configured online. I score over 15,000 on 3Dmark2001. And that price included a 19" VeiwSonic monitor.

They're like little plug in USB hard drives only it's a flash memory card, instead of actual disks, like you put in a digital camera. how much it holds depends on how much you spend. If you really want it I cant stop you but I think it's a waste. I'd say get an iPod and be done with it.

Do yourself a huge favor, and don't buy an Alienware. If you plan on spending that kind of money. Buy a Falcon!

DOn't buy a computer, buld yourself one (if you know how of course).

My buddies and I built one of our other friends a computer with the exact same specs as Alienwares top of the line model and after it was all said and done we saved the guy $1,125. All retail boxed items, NO OEM.

ALienware makes great computers but you'd save yourself a LOT of money by not buying one. And of course if anything ever goes wrong then it is easier to fix since you built it.

However, if you HAVE TO buy one, then buy a Falcon and not an Alienware.

Alienware has their own credit card that you can apply for. If you're approved they'll sell you one and charge ya. Read the fine print though, and check the interest rates. I paid for mine with a check card so mine is free and clear. Oh yeah and like only a week old /i/smilies/16x16_robot-happy.gif

I just built a top of the line rig for around 1300 bucks. If you have parts now, HD, CD-Rom, and such you can do it for around 1000 bucks.

I use Newegg.com they have everything youneed resonably priced, great customer service and Fed-Ex shipping is already in the price you see up front. Price watch is good, but you save on shipping by one stop shopping.

Alienware office are close to mi house LOL.

They cost that much because those computers are over clocked or are tunned to increase its performance.

In other words they are pc's built by gamers for gamers.

On the other habd if you know how to over clock and all that, build yourself a pc :0)

I don't know if you can make payments but i doubt it. OTOH You can build your own machine that's much better for half the cost.

I think BB is severing their relations with AW

My AW was worth it for me because:
1. building is a pain in the @$$, and my skills are suspect. I am in a new town and have none of my boys around who really know whata they're doing.

2. I always wanted an AW, so I got one. I spent around 2 G's because I already had a monitor, etc. etc. just needed a new box. With my 2 G's I got everything I wanted in the box, 2.8, 1Gb, 9800 Pro, Audigy, all that.

3. It showed up on my doorstep. I didn't have to put ANY effort into it. I like that.

4. If I built it myself I would be my own customer support, and that's bad, mmmkay?

5. Falcon NW? Not interested. AW has a good rep, and I'm happy with it.

6. BB is to computers as WalMart is to computers. I guess BB couldn't hack having some quality around.

Build your own or buy the parts and take it to a pro (will still be less) and you can tidy up your case yourself.
