I noticed alot of numerous postings and new people after the announcement of some factions starting from the Heaven town and so forth. So far, the creatures or units of all 3 towns are seen before in previous games. Except for the Succubi and the Wights, and alot of the abilities they have are similar to H3 style abilitites. I specially love what they did with the Inferno town where they mixed Dungeon/Inferno from H3 into H5. For example, the Pit Fiend really belongs to the inferno and the Nightmare was from the chaos faction in H4. As for the three other towns, I woudn't speculate too much but the chances are indeed high for a Nature\Chaos(H4) and off course a purely magic town. My idea of a Nature\Chaos(H4) lineup would be something like this; Wolves, Tigers, Elves, Minotaurs, Earth Elementals, Hydras, Black Dragons. I just love those creatures... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/34.gif Anyways back to all seriousness, I heard somewhere that there's going to be 200 skills or more in H5? Wow thats alot no? In H4 we had about half that. If it's true I like it.

Well Salventus, there's actually quite a bit of skepticism concerning that number. The exact quote was from the Developer's Diary of Alexander Mishulin. And it was the question posed by the interviewer...."How do you tune the gameplay on a game of this scale (over 100 creatures, 200 skills, 40 spells...)?" While the "over 100 creatures" has been verified by Fabrice, many people are thinking that the figures got reversed on the last two. Meaning it should have read 40 skills and 200 spells. Either way, that 200 is a very large number...for either catagory. But lately, considering all the new hero abilities we've seen in the videos and screenshots, it could very well be accurate with the original wording. So far, we've seen hero abilities of....

1.) Holy Charge
2.) Protection
3.) Prayer
4.) Encourage
5.) Diplomacy
6.) Pathfinding

Just looking at those we can see many possibilities concerning more abilities/skills. So yeah, I "think" it's true, and I like it too. :O)

Also, at least some skills will have three levels. Maybe they counted 'basic diplomacy' and 'advanced diplomacy' as different skills http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

This way, 200 skills would not be as hard to reach as before. But... also about 70 different skills might be too much http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Yes, sorry....I assumed that part was implied. But I shouldn't have done that. Yes, all "skills" will have 3 levels, basic, advanced and expert like we had in heroes 3. But in addition to these skills, certain hero types can learn specific "abilities" in addition to "skills". These "abilities" do NOT have advancement levels like regular "skills" do. Hope that clears up that bit of confusion.

On the other hand, there were the earlier press release with "over 40 creatures and spells"...

Hmmm... I don't recall that one. Do you remember which article it was in?

Ugh. You made me use the Forumplanet search function. That thing is slow. Anyway, I found it:

About this encourage skill, the only thing that comes to mind is a moral boost? If the skill is actually called encourage...

LOL. Sorry. Yeah, I see that now. I hadn't seen that before, but I guess we can ignore that because they obviously got their info wrong. Thanks though.
