So... I got the game tonight and set up a LAN with 3 more buddies to play all night, installed the game on all 4 PCs and when we try to play LAN... we can never see each other! We've already played successfully Frozen Throne (1hr game lol) downloaded and uploaded files from each other, we dont have firewalls on, are behind just a 10/100 switch at my place. Any clues?
Thanks

Makre sure neither of you have firewalls and also a problem occurs when you are using 2 lan cards on the same computer. Try to disable the internet lan card when trying to play the game. All games tend to take the first ip they find (usualy that's the intrenet ip).

Well first of all, not ALL games tend to find the first IP they find. Actually its about the first time I've had this issue. Like I said we were playing other stuff too.
To bo_nk, we all downloaded Hamachi www.hamachi.cc/ (http://www.hamachi.cc/) and made a VPN (click click click) and it worked.

What about your Windows Firewall? You disabled that one? Try disabling it, then click on the tab "exceptions" and click on the box "Heroes V". This works for me and my mates all the time with no fuss.
Don't know if it works for Heroes V coz I still cannot play it that well due to my not-supported videocard. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

Well, me & my brother cannot play Heroes V on LAN either. We don't see eachother, and we don't see eachothers games. The firewall we have is configured to accept Heroes V, and it allows the ports the program uses.
Windows Firewall isn't active.
Playing HotSeat ruins the surprises, not to mention its annoying to share a single mouse, and keyboard.
