I have read more books than I can count, so picking a single one.....

Of the top books though,

Lord of the Rings,
The Talisman.
can't think of any others at the moment, but there are a few.

Atlas Shrugged & the Fountainhead by Ayn Rand. Both excellent books about individuality and the virtue of self.(not selfish in the way we were all taught>)

Night by Elie Wiesel is a powerful book and one of my must reads.

There's a fine line between genius and insanity. I have erased this line.

Me too /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

If anyone is interested in the Terminator movies and wants to read a good set of books based on them, you should read SM Stirling's books. Can't praise them enough, absoulutely fantastic.

I think the order is:

T2: Rising Storm

T2: Infiltrator (might be the other way around)

T2: Future War (only just been released)

Besides the bible, I'd have to say a VERY old romance novel I read when I was a teen called "Yargo". It was about a woman who's abducted by aliens, and they're an EXTREMELY civilized/no emotion people, and she has to teach them how to feel again...

I know, mushy, but I loved it /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Also- Woodyjohnson posted about a book called "Night" by Elie Weisel... This book is definately moving and powerful, and we can learn from it... I assume that most of you have or will read it in school, i know i did.

Now i own it.

I also enjoyed "Return With Honor" by Capt. Scott O'Grady, USAF. It was a great true story about how his F-16C was shot down over bosnia... It was a great read... not only did it detail his survival, evasion and rescue, but his faith, hope and outlook on God, Country and Family.

Also, theres a book out written by a Marine, cant recall his name off hand, called "JARHEAD"...its about Marines in Operation iraqi freedom, just borrowed it from the library, heard nothing but good about it.

Tom Clancy is also good...
