I can't believe this game doesn't support the Radeon 9800 Pro!

Moreover, I got Rainbow Six 3 Ravenshield bundled with my card, and it appears that the card isn't even supported. This is sick, tortuous irony at it's worst!

I get about two minutes into the game and it freezes.

Any other 9800 Pro users here? Have you got the game to work? If so, any suggestions?

I really need a break from Neverwinter Nights and I thought this game would fit the bill nicely. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

Do you have the video card overclocked? Is your computer overclocked? Do you have the newest video card drivers? Do you have the latest chipset drivers (Intel, VIA or SIS)? I kept getting a General Protection Fault until I picked apart the VIA 4in1 drivers and patched my Primary Hard Drive Controller. How hot does your computer get when you play the game? Have you updated the BIOS for your motherboard? This game seems to be all about updating everthing so just make sure it is.

Already got the Cat 6. Not overclockig the card... got the newest 4in 1's... new everything except I haven't flashed my Bios. Not even sure I need to. I'll cross check the # and see if it's the latest from soyo.

Other than that... help!!!! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I had (dead at Soyo now) Soyo Dragon Ultra Platinum and there was a BIOS update that fixed a problem with ATI video cards, so check it out.

Thanks for the news flash... get it! Ha ha, ha... flash... OK.

I know nothing of flashing so I'll get my friend to do it. I was trying to find the Bios # on the bootscreen, but all I could find was 2.32. I believe that is for the Raid Bios however.
2.32 doesnt correspond to any of the new Bios revisions on Souo's site or old ones for that matter.
So I'm at a loss for the actuall Bios # for my rig. I tried actually going into the Bios to see if there was a # but couldn't find one.

Noticed something on Ubi's site. The highest supporterd vid card is the 9700 Pro, at least from ATI that is.

My 9800 Pro is not on the list of supported games.

Your BIOS number in the BIOS is P4V22AA.. and the number. The last revision is 7. Its extremely easy to flash the BIOS just read and follow the directions Soyo gives you. Also I find it hilarious that UBI is has a partnership with ATI and they have so many problems. Don't get me wrong ATI builds a hell of a card but they are plagued with problems thanks to the drivers and developers.
