XBox - Multiplayer Mode

I purchased this game about three days ago. I have beat the first player mode so I was going to try out the second player mode. ARE YOU TELLING ME I HAVE TO HAVE XBOX LIVE OR A SYSTEM LINK in order to use the new features of the game. I mean the new mission line is cool but alot of the same crap I wanted to try out the multiplayer mission. Is there something I'm doing wrong or is that just how it is!

The multiplayer is Xbox live or system link, yes, I believe. I don't believe there is any offline co-op. Let me encourage you with all my might to get Xbox live and a headset because the Xbox Live MP of SCPT is the best thing I've seen on Xbox Live and puts the SP of SCPT to shame. It is fun, challenging and unique. Meanwhile, be sure to do your Spy and Merc tutorials and visit every map as a Spy, at least, if not a Merc, too. Don't miss this Xbox Live title, man! It is unreal.

Yea jst get xbox live for this game...it's worth the whole service just for this game...

you didn't know that already? the xbox live logo at the top of the box didn't give it away?

I cant imagine playing xbox without xbox live. If the game doesnt say xbox live compatible I wont buy it. You might as well get xbox live now cause you're gonna need for Halo 2 anyway.

yes i aggree and besides this is the futture it is always fun and unique playing other players showing off ur skills and theres always someone better than u i mean single player is kick butt also but its the cpu u shooting they are not as smart or own decision making of another person (duh)thats what makes online games the best cause after u school another person online u feel much better than killing a stupid cpu on singleplayer am i wrong?

Unless the game has BOTH offline and online play i wont buy the game, i but ninja gaiden because they said you are going to be able to play it online after this years E3.

can you use the xbox headset when in system link mode, as my friends and i play this game ever weekend on system link, two xbox's per room and wonder if its worth buy communicators
