Hi,

I am using nVidia FX 5600 Ultra, 2.4G CPU, DirectX 9.0, WinXP with 1023x768x32 display setting. In normal situation, I can have 50-70 fps. But if I walk into any smoke generated by frag, my frame rate drop to around 30fps. I came accross certain hits you can tune your RavenShield.ini to make the smoke effect less impact to your frame rate. I lost that document. Anyone here can help on this?

Thanks!!

I have a similar problem, not with smoke grenades though, only in the map City Streets where you are in the basement that smoke coming from the pipe lags me some hard. Thanks for any input Maybe the 1.4 patch will fix this or mess it up some more?

The frame rate dropped to hell even that option was checked.

Further more, tear gas also made the frame rate dropped a lot.

I have the same card, not the ultra but the 256MB version, and have overclocked the ram to perform to the level of DDR2, I havnt had problems with it, it may just be a graphics memory hog

It's not the FPS that kills me, but the extreme mouse lag that occurs with smoke/gas grenade on screen.
Even with low detail smoke and reducemouselag setting enabled in some .ini I get crazy mouse lag and I'm unable to aim properly.

To know the fps

1. Go to console
2. Type "fps"
