cd-key recovery

i was playin earlier and everything was fine so i got off for dinner and when i got back on its askin for my cd-key, is there anyway i can unencrypt the cd-key in my reg so i can re-enter it in the promt box ingame or am i going to have to start unpacking the boxes i just packed to move so i can find my cd case?

I read that the cd-key is encrypted in 128 bit one way encryption. I don't know what the one way part means but 128 bit means 2^128 different combinations?

So you can either start decrypting which might take you a million years, or you can unpack.
