Water doesn't look right or missing completely

Hi,

I have Far Cry demo and it runs ok, except for a few graphical issues. I looked all over these forums and FAQs to find my issue, but I haven't seen this yet.

The most noticeable issue is that water doesn't look right - it doesn't have that pretty reflective surface like it does in the screenshots. On very high quality, I can see the bottom of the ocean with some non-reflective blue on top, while on low quality water disappears completely, and I see the ocean bottom. Here are my screenshots:

High quality:

My specs are:
AMD 64 3000+
ABit KV8 Pro motherboard
Gaintech GeForce 6800 128 mb video card
Win XP SP2
Nvidia drivers: 65.73 (but also tried 53.03)

Any ideas what I can do to fix this? Or if anybody else who had this problem in the demo, can tell me if the full version fixes this?

Trying again.. has anybody else experienced this missing water problem (look at the second screenshot)? Or any ideas what I should try to fix it?

It's a problem with the demo, the full version with patch 1.1 fixes it.

You shouldn't wast time using any video driver below the 6x.xx series, as they are the ones for the 6800 family.

You might trying going to nvidia page and trying the official 61.77 drivers and seeing what you get.

Be sure to uninstall the previous drivers, reboot and apply the new drivers.

Might also download and install DX 9.0c

I'm pretty sure the full version with it patches will fix this, come on and buy the game

Thanks guys! I'm already using DirectX 9.0c (came with SP2). I'm gonna go ahead and get the full game.
