1.can someone plz tell me what "Fast Write" is on the smartgart thing?

2.also, I turned it on and didn't notice a difference in anything so I then turned it off to see if I could get greater proformance... now, when I try to turn it back on it won't...

3.trying to get a good frame rate as well and if any of u have the same card could u give a little info as to what u did?

4.I have just gotten cable connection and for some god awful reason I am getting a ping at 150-550 even after rebooting.

for any reason u may need my PC info...

Windows XP pro
maxtor ata 80g hard drive
AMD 1900 1.6 GHz processor
768 MB of RAM @ 133 (i think)
Radeon 9700 pro w/ 6.14.10.6396 driver and 03.9 CATALYST
road runner cable connection

dont think it will help you in the game frame rates.

you could try rolling back the driver but since your not getting other problems i wouldnt

also with the ping its either your ISP or the server you joined

to find out your real ping outside of a game do the following:
open command prompt
type in: ping yahoo.com (make sure to leave the space)

it will then tell you how many millosecounds it took to get there and back and how many packets were sent and returned.

thus if you are losing packets you can tell your ISP(roadrunner) this and that they need to check their lines.
