For a second rig I am thinking of building for a server, using my old 1.2 Ghz Duron, I need a quiet fan for the CPU (noise complaints about existing PC.... http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif )

Akasa seem to be fairly good. I am looking to pay about â£12.00 ($18.00 )

Any suggestions please?

The stock AMD fan that came with my processor is very quite. I had to replace it with an aftermarket model because its useless for any overclocking. I would think any computer retailer would supply them. The fans are just not high rpm airflow pushers but are fine for stock speeds.

I have one you can have for free...PM me

You smug-faced crowds with kindling eye
Who cheer when soldier lads march by,
Sneak home and pray you'll never know
The hell where youth and laughter go.

You can get adapters that will enable you to mount a low rpm 80mm fan on a heatsink designed for a 60mm fan - this gives you excellent air volume with a quieter low rpm - they very cheap too.
