in the first SC? I thought it was clunky, I think they should change it in PT to a laser or something. What do you think?

yeah the reticle was too big. A simple circle or "t" shape would do. Or like you said, a laser point.

well, as shown in the trailer, there most likely will be a gun with laser aiming, i think the ideal reticle would be similar to the one in rainbow six 3 or ghost recon

I think a laser sight would be perfect. The only problem would be justifying the "accuracy meter", you know, when those four little triangles move in closer, the more accurate your shot. I'm sure they could find a way.

How about having Sam or any other operative to hold their breath to raise their aiming skills or even better, having Sam to run some sort of fireing range between the missions to raise his accuracy during the next missions.

The current reticle is definitely too big-make it more like a realistic scope with a smaller dot, or just the crosshair lines in the center (with whatever ranging and other info you want-Mildots would be cool...). The pistol one was almost laughable-yeah, it's the same size as the rifle's, but add the unrealistic inaccuracy they gave the pistol and they may as well have made an aimpoint as big as a watermellon! As to a laser, it'd be a cool option, but you kind of take away the element of suprise when you're lining up your shot and his buddy sees the dot on him. Or, fog highlights a nice line straight to your position. Or, just came to me-an infrared laser sight that is visible only when you use your night vision (special forces are currently using this setup, so it's realistic).

I personally think that it should have something like a red dot scope. When you look through the scope, it appears to have a laser effect, but only you can see it. As for detecting accuracy, you could possibly just have the dot move inside the box. The less of a shake the more accurate and so on. What do you think?

The crosshairs on my rifle scope don't tighten down or highlight or anything when I know I'm going to hit my target. I know it's going to be accurate because the crosshairs are exactly on my intended target point. If I run with the rifle and then sight it in, the crosshair moves around a lot until I can settle it a bit after catching my breath. My point is, I hate the method in games where it has a dynamic ring of some sort around the target point telling you if it's accurate or not-just have the sight point move like it really would. Bullet impacts exactly where the crosshairs are every time-it's up to you to make sure the aim point is directly on your intended target, not some random accuracy generator...

I agree. Give the dot a little bit of bob like the SC-20k in sniper mode, (smaller, too) and then you can time your shots to hit the target.

simplest is best! you dont need fantasy you need to see what your aiming at. If the site is big and bulky it will just get in the way and distract you. Make it simple. And you really cant use a laser you would give yourself away!
