I am on the ship ( boat Level) and have the rocket launcher .. have been trying unsuccessfully to shoot it down, for two days .. what is the key to bringing it down ?

Hi

This is asked at least twice a day I would say, so looking is always a good start if you have a question. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Either run to the jungle and fight there with rocket launcher. Run to land and use the jeep and its rocket launcher. Run to the cabin and use that as cover leaning in and out to shoot at the helicopter.

I personnally do it using the cabin, and even on the hardest level you can do it without getting hit at all like this if you do it right.

ive got the best tactic. it says go to the front of the ship to avoid the explosion (just follow the tracker) the second it explodes you should go back to the captains room (where you go the rocket launcher) and use the walls for cover. i did this with only loosing 1/4 of my sheild on medium mode. took about 6-8 rockets.

Pain is a weakness escaping the body.

Sure you picked the right nickname when your using quotes from such films? LOL http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif Maybe a nice soft girly one would be better suited. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I think the reason is that this is the first real tough fight you run into when playing the game (atleast is was for me)and one's skill level aren't prepared for it. As for why its asked even though its been answered before...I can only speak for myself since my very first post was on this topic. I had read several posts, tried to do it and still failed http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif/ So oout of frustration I still needed to post the question again in my own words. Having said that.....everyone should first use the "find tab" to seek answers to their questions.

The cabin method does not work on realistic as it fills with water, nor can you swim to shore before explosion kills you . Crouching and strafing carefully and patiently around mast works well. Listen for lulls in machine gun fire.

Hehe. I spent about half an hour trying to register, log-in, and find that guide on your site. The site is pretty much un-navigable. Still haven't found the guide.

Easy.

Laugh at how this BOSS helicoptor now suddenly does away with the whole nature of the game its realism and needs 8 rockets to take it down. Then laugh even more when you realise this is just lazy development. Then realise its all down hill from there, till the end...oh and mp doesn't work yet. Then uninstall. Easy. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/blink.gif

Why? So you imply helicopters aren't tougher than main battle tanks? http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Nay, I love FC, but things like that surely break immersion. They should have used several helicopters, or some other, real tough vehicle.

I agree, i suggested this on another forum.
No disrespect to the game it is nice and fine to play, but dumbing down like that just didn't compute with me.

Um. I tried logging in to farcry.ca again today, and it worked. Huzzah! I guess the site registration isn't broken after all.

The site is pretty decent. I thought the guides weren't all that special (available on other sites and whatnot) but they've got an exclusive one now.

Cabin worked fine for me on realistic.

I have found this part so unrealistic and unplayable (I've hit it 9 times with rockets) and unwinable, that I have quit recommending the game to anyone. It's the last game I'll buy from Ubisoft. I've been stuck for hours on this and it's ruined the whole game me. I even went back and played it all on "easy". Same ****.

I dunno, but I always go for the engine. It is much easier then the alteratives, & rather easy to kill with an full automatic weapon. Just not very ammo conservative. You do know where the engine is placed don't you?

I found this method ParticularY effective against the Orion heli-plane thing.
