It wont go to proper game and goes back to desktop

Anybody can help me on this,after I run the application and nearly to start the game but then it always crash and back to desktop window. I got a NVIDIA FX5200 ver44.03 video card,is this one supported? Any idea what I'm going to do so that I can play splinter cell?
