Hi,
can anyone tell me, which ports are used by Far Cry? I made the experience, that forwarding the specific ports for a game (eg 27015 for Counter Strike) on my router improves the multiplayer performance. I've posted the same Question in the german forum, but its shut down actually!
Thanx for answer.

actually i found it..
You must open the following ports in your router and or firewall to resolve this
issue.
UBI.com ports:
TCP: 40000 - 42999
UDP: 41005
FarCry game ports:
Server:
Outgoing port 49001/49002
Incoming is client dependant
Client:
Ingoing port is 49001/49002
Outgoing is client dependant (usually set by the OS automatically)
If you continue to have trouble hosting or joining a multiplayer server, please
make sure that you have the latest firmware updates for your router from the
manufacturers website. Other than that, keep trying the game at a later time. If
you continue to have problems, you may want to contact your ISP since this is
almost always a connection issue.

Thank you,
I don't have problems to play Multiplayer. But I expect to improve performance (ping), when I open these ports.
Far Cry is lovely, I like the mp assault games. Half Life 2 and co. will have it hard to keep up to it.
