Yes, you modem guys can have something to look at too! Sadly it's nothing like as spectacular as Dawn Ghost or as epic as Training Day, but it's free... I can say that much for it ;-)

It's more of an exercise than a movie, but it might give a few people ideas... about what *not* to do in a movie ;-)

i liked the 3in1 screen. nice choice of music too.fitted perfectly. not much to say about camera angles!!!

inventive is what i would say. you keep coming up with new stuff. very nice work

That's what I like: new ideas, creating a special atmosphere.
Well done.

Hey andrew, didn't you say that you use Windows movie maker 2.0 as well?? You didn't use movie maker for this movie did you?? http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/blink.gif http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif

Very very nice.

Tell me...what time of day was this? I like the colors of the sky. Very peaceful looking.

Thank you.

Raven119:
I can assure you there's nothing too impressive about my flying... there are some scarily talented pilots out there and I'm not one of them! That's just what I enjoy doing most in that amazing aircraft, always have done. Wouldn't want to try it in real life though :-) I should also point out that I didn't use the first track I recorded... or the tenth ;-) The Holy Grail was a loop that didn't require *any* correction to touch & go on the runway. Didn't manage it. And the end's a bit twitchy because at that speed and AoA, from the normal cockpit view all you can see is sky :-)

Karlchen1:
Thanks, it's getting to be a real challenge to produce something other people haven't done already, or done much better.

G_A:
As I wrote on the website, I bought Screenblast Movie Studio 3 because MM2 is *superb* IMO (very simple and effective at what it does) but I needed something with a few more features. This movie, like Sync or Swim, started out as a learning exercise and began to look like a movie.

I don't have time to turn on the other PC and load Lomac now, but I'm pretty sure it's 9:30am

Anyone else who replies in the next few days:
I'm going away until Friday, so if you ask a question I'll answer it then.

Awesome!

This got me interested in Low and Slow flying as well. I took a couple sight-seeing trips thru a town and was low and slow enuff to read the road signs. hehe http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Gunna cut some clips out of it whenever I can get the stupid AVI tool to work.

Awesome job, it takes alot of good throttle control to do that. I am gettin better, but you are much more precise with it than I am. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

> Superb flying
Superb flying is that flip Tigrou does behind the other plane in his second video. I've been enjoying flying slowly in Flankers since Flanker 1.0 and I'm still much better at planting the planes rather than piloting them :-)

> Did you use screenblast for the pip
Yes, it has some nice additional features that add some interesting possibilities to movie making. Of course that probably means more time wasted playing with the editor rather recording good clips where it counts :-)

Cynical:
> This got me interested in Low and Slow
> flying as well

I find the intense concentration required to fly on the edge of the flight envelope strangely relaxing. Messing around with radar and beaming and which missile to fire at what range against which aircraft allowing for what relative speeds never really lit my candle. I was always more interested in whether my smoke cannisters were loaded than what was hanging off the rails :-)

> whenever I can get the stupid AVI tool to work

This was the first time I used the AVI tool and it works very well in this limited example with no edits. If you make sure you avoid the CTRL+F3 and CTRL+F11 views, *and* never change the camera viewpoint in pause (S) mode the trk recorder/editor does a good job of saving your changes. For anything "clever" it's far safer to use Fraps.

> it takes alot of good throttle control
> to do that

I think I'll ask Saitek for sponsorship. My X45 is soon going to wear out if I keep flying like this :-)

bSr.LOC:
> Sometimes less is more
Agreed. But sometimes less is just less... in this case less work ;-)
