So can somebody explain, clearly, how to extract a sound files from RvS?
I've tried the WOTgrealExporter and all it does is make a couple of folders and the file that I want to extract, but the file has 0kb in size and the extension is .DareEvent
What is heck is that? The RvS editor does not allow for sound file extractions.
Is there a better way to get the sounds out of there?
And yes I've tried to use the Windows Sound Recorder and record them as I play the sound from within the RvS Editor.

i don't think you can extract sound from our package... the thing is, the unreal sound engine was completely replace by Dare (ubi sound engine) and aldo it's quite powerfull, it doesn't allow to export... sorry

You've got to be kidding?
I love the nice crispt and clear sounds from the weapons.
And I would love to use them in my Web page for the different weapons.
I've fired a few of the actual weapons in the game, and they sound just like them.
Is there any hope that UBI will release those sounds as .wav files or some other format that we can use?
This just not seem to sound fair. No pun intended.
AFAIK RvS editor will allow importing.

So I've found a way to get those sound files.
A bit of a pain, but it works for me. As all I wanted was the sounds.
Here's what I ended up doing.
Starting RvS Editor, select the sound I want. Then open SB Wave Studio. Select my recording settings for Wave, then hit record, switch programs (ALT+TAB) then play the sound.
Then back to Wave Studio and hit stop. Do my editing for blank sounds, and fine tun anything else that was recorded, like those clicks and pops that the game file has in them at the end.
So now I have nice sounds to use for just about any MOD.
I sure hope UBI comes out with an actual sound extractor or at least all the .wav files of the sounds.

Here's a way... get an appropriately sized wire. Plug it into the front stereo jack on your sound card.. Then plug the other end into the mic jack. Then use the windows sound recorder to record the sound. Edit, and save.
