What's the best plan to complete this mission? I have tried putting Alpha by the door and running Bravo around the block to get the tangos as they approach the building. I have also tried putting both teams by the door, shooting in opposite directions. I usualy have too few guys left to go after the command center and civilians.
Help!

Someone with XBox experience will be along soon enough, but I think the PC tactics should work. Try selecting really good riflemen (i.e. Specialists) for A and B teams. Put two at each door (position them yourself). Place them just inside the doors using the doorframe as cover and point them out the doors kinda' crossing each other. Set their ROE (if XBox has them) to 'don't move'/Hold Position and have them kneeling or prone and they should get the job done.

Sorry if the diagram doesn't make sense, but I'm betting you can figure it out. Ignore the "."s in the diagram - I had to use them for 'place holders'...

Tough mission to be sure and it's been a while since I beat it (one of my favorite firefight maps thought). First, orientation of the room you start in. In one direction, outside the poling room, there is a street between the poll building and a garden court with a columned building far on the other side of it. This is right. Opposite is a smaller patio type area with waist high brick wall around it. This is left. You think I'd know the compASS directions by now, but I just follow the threat receiver and couldn't care less what compASS direction they are. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif
Before you exit out of the building to either side there is that lobby of sorts, identical on each side, right? You know by now you can shoot pretty good through these and can get equally shot through them.
There are men already outside of the patio side, waiting for you to take the first shot at them, then all hell breaks loose on this side, especially in elite. On the other side it will be relatively quiet. So run a team to the left (patio) and hold inside the door to one side only. The tangos will come in after you once to pop one of their own.
Once you get your team set on the left side - and make sure they all make it around the corner so you max firepower pointed in the right direction - then run the other team to the right (garden) side. Once you get outside the door, straight across will be that columned building. To the left of that building, a tango laden jeep will come. Take them out. Another jeep (are they jeeps? I suppose it's like Kleenex, or lifesavers!) will come around to your right and you have to take care of them.
In this area, you're wide open for assault from the down the street to your left. Also, looking straight at the garden, if you go left, and take a left down the street that borders the poll bldg, straight ahead will be a building with a balcony. There's a tango up on the balcony holding a citizen.
Back to the patio side...tango's will come from all directions if you get outside. Once I had my team set at that doorway, I just kind of kept tabs on them, but let them be. They had quite a pile of corpses in the doorway when I moved them. If you look out the doorway in the patio area, to your left is a road, up and left is a building, and just beyond that buildind is a short alley that empties into another street, and you empty at a corner. Across from you is a block wall. Within that block wall, there are tango's just waiting for you, so toss a couple grenades in there and see what you get. They'll come, so be patient. Pop a couple rounds off to coax them out.
Once that is cleared, get both teams over there and head down the road you popped into. To your right will be a grass area with intermittent block walls. Get into the grass prior to the road turning left again. Up that left hand turn, tango's love to come around the corner and down toward the grass area. You can park behind the block wall and pick them off as they come around the corner.
Now up this street (do you know where you are?) it turns left again, and runs back toward the polling building. Before the road gets to the polling building it jogs then empties into the garden area again. Even prior to that, there are two roads that take off to the right. Another street ties them together up a bit. These two streets are another firefight. Park one team looking down this street, and then clear as you go. The first street to your right will term at a building with rooms upstairs, one looking right down on you as you go up the street. You will have to go up this street, go right, and immediately left will be an alley, most likely with tangos guarding a door to the downstairs lobby. If you continue up the alley a bit, a courtyard will open up and there will be a tango there as well. Also a door leads from the lobby into this courtyard so there is cross fire potential here. Once in this lobby, you up the stairs and the hall will break left and right. I forget where the citizen is, but to the left is tough because you're moving and your reticle will not contract fast enought to get a shot off and the tango is waiting for you. I go in blazing around this corner to take out the first guy, then take my time to hit the dude holding the citizen. It not in this room, then to the right, same thing, but you have more of an open shot into the room when you round the corner, and you don't want to kill the citizen. On that note, don't frag these rooms cause you'll kill the citizens. In this room (to the right) is an open window that looks down into the street, and straight ahead is another building with an open window. This is the column building that has two rooms upstairs. If you get lucky, you can snipe the bad guys from where you are and not have too many to deal with when you get ready to clear that building, which is next. Oops, ran out of room. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

Where was I? Go back downstairs and head down the street you just looked down from that upstairs window. When you get some distance down the street you are open to fire from the garden aread, so watch it. No surprises /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif
One thing to watch out for when you leave the courtyard and get into the street, is a street to your left that kind of dog legs to the right into the garden area. So anywho, you get all the way to the column building and there will be two doors leading into a lobby. You have to scope through the doorway and see who is waiting inside, at the base of the staiways, one on each side of the lobby, leading to a room on each side of the building. Once you clear this area, then as you face out toward the garden from here, to the right is a series of streets and allies (sp) that will contain at least one tango who holds a citizen. Once you clear these streets, there is one more area to clear, and that is the area around where the tango was up on the balcony. Come in from behind and find a way upstairs to get the citizen. There are no doors to open and any doors you can go into are already open for you.
During my firefights on this map, I did find that sensors work really well and have a great range. The one good place to put a sensor is in a room that connects two streets. One street is the one where the grass is with the block wall, and the other, obvioulsy, parrallels it in the only direction you can go. You head in from the blocked wall side and go straight in. If you go straight in you will run into a wall and an exit out to the other street (the one with the two rights). Place the sensor here and turn and head away. Look at your map to see whose around. This will read to the garden area, up the street to the first wall of the courtyard building (where you go blasting around the corner).
I hope that helps.
SAVE THE GAME ALOT.

Yeah, no offense to rshea or snipe21 (who has also done impressive walk-thrus), but unless people ask for them specifically I just try to give hints. Even though you got it I've already done the schematic so I'll post it here, anyway. Even with the way I've done it it still took me a couple of times until I got 'lucky', but it worked for me. Valid point. Basically if I don't want to be patient in a mission, I'll save and just walk out and see what happens. OJT as they say. It is more fun figuring out the mission for yourself.

Still, after beating each mission in each level, getting through without a loss and a save is tough. When I feel I need a GR fix, all I play is no save games. Gotta start over if my (wo)man goes down. I've pretty much figured out that you must be patient and find the choke points you can take advantage of.

Swamp with one soldier was wicked tough. I used Guram w/ the RP-46 and sensors kit. That gun will cut those pinko scum in half if you keep it down to two to three second bursts. The hardest defend for me was the beach resort on elite. To this day I can't beat it w/o losing half my team.

You have to take the whole team out of the building AND FAST!! get out where the bus is and slot the three baddies coming round the top right hand corner at the same time cover the left hand side of the exit from the voting station as there are more tangos up there, to the left of the square is a tango in the building slot him and watch for the jeep coming from that direction, then to the right of the exit a load of tangos saunter around the corner but if your clever you,ve got a guy covering that angle. The whole thing happens really quick the first few minutes is CRAZY, CRAZY no time to pause!! I found the best way is to switch from team to team as they can,t be trusted to do the job without getting killed, above all don,t try to defend the voting station its alost cause!!! By the way this is on the pc version..... hope it helps
