I managed the fps thing, i get an average or around 30 to 50 some places goes to 20ish if there are alot of objects moving.
also when i attack someone the fps decrease alot, especially when i first attack someone it goes to 6fps :S
Is this normal?

my specs are:

30gig AMD
512 ddr
ati 9800pro 128mb
4.2 catalist

Could be a hard disk/paging problem!! Which indicates you need some more RAM!
512 MB is a bit borderline for this beta. I have 1GB and I get a little paging/swapping from time to time.

When the game slows down, does your hard disks activity increase, or the indicator light starts flashing or even stay on?

why would anyone need 10 3 ghz processors?

I_Am_Tron

since when did AMD make 3ghz processors? and how did you get ten of them running together?

still killing the old way...

ATI Radeon 9800 XT 256 MB

ok here is how it is, i meant to say i have a 3gig and accidently i put a 0 inside :S my bad.

specs are
3gig AMD
512 ddr
ati 9800pro 128mb
4.2 catalist/ tried 3,9 too and same result.
westerndigital 100gb hard drive primary
westerndigital 40gb hard drive secondary.

Obiwanquinobi i check about what you told me to see if the lidicator light starts to flash more, that is true, its loading alot more, especially when i kill the first bad guy and the fps goes to 6 for a second, its working its head off... um what does this mean? What kind of problem do i have? Should i get 512 more mb or just wait to see if the game doesnt have so great expectations?

MaleKMark:

If you have some spare cash, yes get some more RAM! You've proved thats a problem now, so of course splash some cash if you have it!

Powercolor??

Its just a standard 'reference' card, just like a 'Built by ATI' card - except its made in taiwan or somewhere!

Theres not a great deal of difference between any of the manufacturers to be honest, apart from the heatsinks and fans some companies put on!!

Hope this answers your question! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

still doesn't explain how he got a 3ghz AMD proc. unless of course he overclocked it.

If you plan on getting another 512 module to take your RAM up to 1GB - you MUST make sure you get the same brand as what you have already!!! Most motherboards are very picky about mixing and matching RAM modules...so be warned!

Corsair is some of the best memory you can get but - The TwinX memory is especially made in matched pairs and is only advantageous in 'Dual Channel' motherboards! So it is not really worth the extra outlay if you've not got the motherboard to utilise it!

Do some research before taking the plunge!! Do a search on google or even better try here House Of Help (http://www.houseofhelp.com/)
This is the official Corsair support forum - lots of helpful people here. And its not just corsair memory related. Theres forums for general hardware/software/games queries too!

Thing is, if you want to learn about this stuff you have to do your homework - I've pointed you in the right direction, now dig, dig, dig!

You know it makes sense!! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Good luck!

Thanks again for replying, the thing is that i got a 512 ddr that runs at 266 making my cpu run at 2,2gig so i will get rid of that and get 2 new 512 @ 400mhz... so is that worth it?
My mobo is a gigabyte 7NNXP and supports dual channel ddr 400+ if that is what you mean. Thanks for the website, ill go straight away and dig around http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
Do you think that by putin the new RAM my fps will increase?
What is so strange about a 3gig AMD?
When i run dxdiag it says:
Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) XP 3000+, MMX, 3DNow
Thats ok right?

obiwanquinobi

3000+ run at around 2.17 GHZ - Which is 'I think' a 333 Mhz FSB. If thats the case, your RAM is slowing your system down a little. This means you will need PC2700 (DDR 333)if you want to go dual channel and speed things up a bit. Get a gig of Dual channel Corsair Twinx 2700 if you have the cash to spare!

Or, you could get quicker RAM (Say PC3200) and try some overclocking later - but its a fiddle on and only for the most patient PC user ( I personally never have much luck with this)!!!

Will it improve your FPS? - Yes I would stick my neck out and say it would! But HOW much it will improve I cant tell you the answer I'm afraid!

You'll just have to suck it and see I suppose!!!

my cpu speed in dxdiag already writes 2,2GHz so will it increase it at all gettin RAM @ 333mhz? Do u think i should do any upgrades on my computer or is the game going to run?
