View Full Version : How to Change Your Player Model in MP

Ok...
1 go to your mian farcry directory
2 click on the scripts folder
3 click on the menuscreens folder
4 click on the options folder
5 click on ModelList.lua
6 ok open note pad. edit the file so it
looks like this:

MPModelList=
{
{"Jack", "objects/characters/pmodels/hero /hero_mp.cgf"},
{"Scout", "objects/characters/mercenaries /merc_scout/merc_scout_mp.cgf"},
{"Rear", "objects/characters/mercenaries/ merc_rear/merc_rear_mp.cgf"},
{"Cover", "objects/characters/mercenaries /merc_cover/merc_cover_mp.cgf"},
{"Evil Worker", "objects/characters/workers/evil_worker /evil_worker_mp.cgf"},
{"Crowe", "objects/characters/story_chara cters/mertz/mertz_mp.cgf"},
{"Lab Assistant", "objects/characters/workers/lab_assi tant/lab_assistant_mp.cgf"},
}
i.e. erase the dashes in front of the
names and your done, enjoy.
p.s. gabanzo_mon showd me this edit if
you have any problems ask him.

p.s.s.hi gabanzo_monits me dark helmet.

still great stuff though, oh ya!, dunno if you know, but there's a way to be a skeleton, shark, frog and other models, I don't remember how but you can, I seen someone do it in a game I played once on the SP demo MP modhttp://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

You can pretty much have it target any model in your objects folder. Most of them won't work correctly with the players animations.

I tried using the skeleton model, and for some reason the swimming animation won't trigger. All he does is the dead mans float http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Ok Change the file you modifyed before to this:
