Problems with Video card [Archive]

I canâÂ´t seem to run Raven Shield because I get an error meesage saying: "Video card not supported", once I double click on the Raven Shield icon. My video card is an ATI Mobility Radeon M4 (32 MB) that came with my Dell Inspiron 8000 notebook. I have checked the supported video card FAQ, but my card doesnâÂ´t seem to be anywhere near it. Anyway, my notebook is capable of playing all games that I have bought before, and I have never had problems with my video card before. Furthermore, my notebook meets or exceeds the minimun requirements for Raven Shield. Please help with this problem that I am having. Many thanks!

Post your dxdiag,

Dxdiag

start/run/ type in dxdiag click ok/ when it has finished loading/system tab/ down the bottom click SAVE ALL INFORMATIOM to desktop/copy and paste that in the forums.

Copy/Paste

You may know how to do this already, so overlook it if you do.

To copy/paste left click the left mouse button and while holding the left mouse button down drag it to the left then up the page until every word is highlighted. Then on any part of the highlighted words right click and a little window pops up and with the left mouse button click COPY.

Now come to the forums and place your thread for your problem and in the white space, right click the mouse button and another small window pops up. With the left mouse button click the word PASTE and your dxdiag is copy/pasted

Yes 32 meg is the min. requirement, but generally does not work, and if it does not that great.

Your graphics card although good for a notebook and most games is pretty sub standard for RvS. I have found that most of the mobility cards don't like RvS. I am not sure that it supports texture and layering either, which in this game is a must.

Just because it worked in/on someone else's computer does NOT mean it will work on yours!
