Splinter Cell HUD Prob

Hi everyone. Splinter cell is a top game and i would like to make it more cinematic when i play it in the dark on my TV. Is there a way to switch the hud off? I've tried editing the INI's and i've tried guessing a cheat but nothing seems to work. Is there a way to do it? Thanx for your time.
