Bought game.

Updated to patch 1.53.

Cannot play (EVEN with original Disc2) because I have Alcohol120% installed on my machine.

What can I do to play?

1. I want to play the game.
2. I don't want to be forced to have to remove other software from my computer. I use A120% to mount my Battlefield 1942 CD image. And will do same for BF Vietnam when it comes out on 3/16.

If you have installed new hardware or virtual drivers the letters of the drives may change.

Does it come with a dialog box saying: "Try Again, Abort, Continue" if this is the case, just press continue and the game, will check next drive. This happens with BF1942 sometimes too.

No, I don't get those choices...it just says "Wrong CD" kind of message.

RvS's copy protection (Safe Disk 2) no longer looks for ASE (since the 1.52 patch) so that's not your problem.

I use Alcohol 120% and I have no problems.

It may be a bit of work but if all else fails, I would reinstall RvS and apply the 1.0-1.53 patch. That will most likely fix your problem.

I had the same problem once a long time ago. Believe it or not it was a simple as I put the RVS CD in the wrong cd-rom drive. Doubtfull this is going to help you as I am sure you have already tried this. Just a thought.

If your gonna shoot me make it a head shot! Hate bein gimped ;)Ofcr_Lawless

It's never happened to me but the CD is supposed to be in the drive the game was installed from as Lawlesbe says.

Could it be that since I am installing from a DVD-RW and putting CD#2 in there, that's why it won't work?

We know that CD-RWs don't work, right?

Since a lot of you guys are using A120% with patch 1.53, I presume you guys must be using CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drives as the drive where you installed the game from, correct?

I think I fixed it!!!! It was an emulation setting in A120%! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
