Fire authorities in California found a corpse in a burnt out section of forest whilst assessing the damage done by a forest fire. The deceased was dressed in a full wetsuit, complete with a dive tank, flippers and face mask. A post-mortem examination revealed that the person died not from burns but from massive internal injuries. Dental records provided a positive identification.

Investigators then set about determining how a fully clad diver ended up in the middle of a forest fire.

It was revealed that, on the day of the fire, the person went for a diving trip off the coast--some 20 miles from the forest. The firefighters, seeking to control the fire as quickly as possible, called in a fleet of helicopters with very large buckets. The buckets were dropped into the ocean for rapid filling, the flown to the forest fire and emptied.

You guessed it!!! One minute our diver was making like flipper in the pacific, the next he was doing a breaststroke in a fire bucket 300m in the air. Apparently, he extinguieshed exactly 1.78m(5'10") of the fire.

Some days it just doesn't pay to get out of bed!!!

Sincerely yours,

But yeah, I've worked around water bombers/choppers and I can tell you that there is no way a diver could end up being picked up and dropped. the hole's ain't big enough. If you don't know what I mean then ask and I'll tell, I'm just being lazy right now...

I think that I will probably die, at 99 , at the hands of a jealous husband: hey, it could happen /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Hm, some of you might remember me saying that I have been befriending only women in the past few years. Well, many of their boyfriends/husbands have taken our friendships the wrong way. Let's just say I'm not exactly a popular guy with their significant others... That might be how I might die too... Sadly, I would be killed by one of them without actually having a relationship with their girl. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

I got big at one point, lost it now, and I do know how to fight. I'm also trained in melee weapons, mainly any light/medium weight short or medium length staff or other blunt weapon, and short knives. However, I think the blunt weapon skills can be used for longer bladed weapons such as the machete. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif Go Jason! /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif

I'm above average with pistols and expert in rifles.

Don't worry farn, I can take care of myself. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Luckily, I've never really had to use any of these things... wait, what if I forgot some? /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif I better get practicing! /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif *off to the gun range I go!* /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

lol; tis good to see you have well rounded experience with defense. Sadly, it is sometimes needed.

I'm thinking about taking up Bullwhipping, actually (and no, kimi, not for kinky purposes /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif ). A whip is damn painful, friggen accurate up to 12 feet (depends only on the length of the whip) and very portable. As well as non lethal.

Not to mention damn cool

No such thing as a "non lethal" weapon Farn. But there are those that are "less than lethal."
