I've noticed some debate over the usfulness of the 9mm pistol in the game. Personally I like it in both multi and single player.
What's your opinion?

I use it when either it's most suitable, or I haven't another option. Pretty simple.

It is a pretty good gun for just all around use but there are guns that are a lot better in my opinion.

I've wondered about this too. I like to use the 9mm in the Plain Rock mission (ok, it's the only choice), because it is relatively effective on close-range. I don't like that it takes three(or more, depending on what difficulty) shots to the head to kill someone. If you also have the .44 I'd go with that. I'm a pretty good aimer I guess and it's a one-heady-kill-gun so it's very effective all around. Even when there are more than 5 people around. It's just bang, bang bang and they're dead.
