One of the faults of the first game i found were that each level had a set out path for you to follow. there was pretty much no improvising save for a few times. There were many ways to incapacitate an enemy but the maps where pretty straight forward. one of my favorite games is Hitman 2 and contracts because there are endless ways to complete a mission and move about a map.
I have owned Pandora tomorrow since it came out and have only passed the first level 'cause Multiplayer is just KickA**. I was wondering if they have fixed this problem and built in many ways to move around the map and added different options to an objective???

Bo, it isnt. It is still linear, but the way you actually use the terrain and your gadgets is limitless. So linear levels, and unlinear process.

No way. I have played PT a few times now...NOTHING about the game is linear. The only thing you HAVE to do is complete the mission. I have played and replayed each level, and in each one there is no one path you must follow.
I don't want to add spoilers here, but trust me, I have been amazed at the number of ways you can get through these missions. Look around, explore. You'll see what I mean.

hes talking about splinter cell 1, it was linear you should see the forums, ok so schttp://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_razz.gift isn't as linear because of the bigger levels and mre need to use the gadgets but come on its hard the most un-obvious game in the world is it

OK, but I still stick my comments. There are MANY more paths to take in PT, but Hitman was junk compared to SC. So Sam could not go through everydoor and open every window, it is still an excellent game by any reasonable standard. My thought it that if they tried to add a completey free form environment, with all the graphic touches, solid AI, and a big enough level, we would see one game every 5 years.

I agree that PT is only slightly better then the original when it comes to non-linearity. While I admit that SC and PT are better then Hitman 2, H2 is still a great game. One that has more freedom in the levels. In fact, I play H2 whenever I want to explore a little more then SC lets me. Diff. games though.
Hope that Contracts turns out good. If I had to buy only one or the other though, I'd go with PT, simply because of the Multiplyer (which is FAR superior to the single-player componet.) What we need is a game with SC's graphics, story, CONTROLS, etc; but with the level and freedom of Hitman. That would be the cats meow!

hes wright, but i liked hitman, say you kill a guard u get his clothes but u kill him lound enough so the other guards herre they run past you as u walking casually towards them, you turn around and pop them both in the head wit a 9mm sd pistol

Yeah Hitman2 is a great game, you really can't compare the 2 or say which one is better. Contracts looks just F****** awesome.
From what you have all said I guess SCPT isnt as linear as the first game... saWEEt. Im just having to much fun with the Multiplayer to actually play the game

It's funny really, the way the original game was linear didn't really bother me.
But having played FarCry, which basically says 'here's an island full of mercenaries. you have to get to the far side.'. amd lets you leap in speedboats, drive jeeps, and generally choose your own route of attack - be it stealth or all guns blazing - I can barely be bothered playing the single player Pandora Tomorrow.
Don't get me wrong, the multiplayer makes the game worth buying, but PT is, for the PC owner at least, looking pretty dated. Even the graphics look shoddy compared to FarCry, and the framerates, unbelievably, are worse.
