I have AMD64 FX-51 and a Geforce FX 5900 Ultra, and after some minor adjustments after the 1.1 patch, the game ran alright but not great. I just installed the brand new nvidia drivers last night and everything runs perfect! I get an average of 60 fps and everything looks amazing. Here are pictures. I suggest everyone updates their mother board drivers and gets the new nvidia drivers so you can enjoy far cry like I am. Didn't notice a change in IQ but I sure did notice a change in performance. I always check my new configs or drivers on the Carrier level... Open the console (tilde ~ key) and type:
\r_DisplayInfo 1
That should do it.
\r_DisplayInfo 0 to turn stats back off.

Uhhhh, I posted those pictures to show how beautiful the scenery looks. Don't get an attitude with me you smarta.ss. I didn't feel the need to go around and take tricky screenshots of when i'm in firefights. I'm telling you that I get an average of 60 fps even when i'm in firefights. If you don't believe me then don't, what do I care? Just letting people know how awesome the new nvidia drivers are, not trying to impress idiots like you. "If I wanted scenery I'd go buy a national geographic".....last time I looked, this game is revolutionary (to me) because of the scenery/graphics. *******

Glad to hear the NVIDIA crowd's finaly getting their money's worth with these new drivers.

BTW firefights are probably the most taxing on the CPU not the graphics card due to the AI kicking into it's most intensive mode of operating.

Unfortunately, I don't have Farcry yet. I'm waiting for at least one more patch for Farcry or just until everything is fixed, optimized, and online fixed so that I can play it first in all its glory with my FX5900 Ultra.

I've spent so much on my comp already in the last 2 years on upgrades. It's time I go back to my console roots and give my XBox a little more attention. I'm saving up for a new TV for play my Xbox on. I want the Sony Wega 24" with S-video and composite connections. Can't wait for Halo 2!
