Lance took off into the jungle with your surfboard Sir, honest! Charlie's in our perimeter and keeping us pinned down so we can't get off the boat just now, big f'n Tiger out there as well and, well, some one has to cook around here. We did see Eaglethrust 7 fly by, thought we heard him radio psywarop Romeo & Juliet Foxtrot...shall we dance?

I think it must have been a lost radio transmission bleeding into the forum. Either that or a message from outter space.

It's Apocalypse /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif
I think it's fifteen years since I saw the movie, and I don't remember the qoute, but all the names and callsigns fits with Apocalypse Now.

Technically it's supposed to be pbrstreetgang (I'll give him a break because ...r... might have been taken) which is the call sign of the PBR boat that the 'adventurers' took up the river. I believe Big Duke 6 was the Air Cav division...

The quote is from Apocalypse Now, yes. You must remember the scene where he's going round with his loud-hailer thing, trying to persuade the guy to give his board back?? Surely?
Quite what it has to with GR tactics and strategy though, I have absolutely no idea. Perhaps it's a suggestion on a new technique to distract the enemy, allowing you to attack them that bit more effectively?!? No? Thought not somehow... /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

I'm glad somebody knew how to spell that word. Been a lpng time since I saw that movie but the re: about the tiger and the surfboard sounded familair. No it don't have anything to do with tactics but it's a good opportunity to spam/i/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Like you admit in your sig: another useless post from Kuebaldy!!! /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif
Ming the Stig: perhaps the mod you mention will allow you to "do a Legolas" from The Two Towers (Lord of the Rings film) and slide down steps on your surfboard (alright, so he was on a shield, but you know what I mean!!) shooting people... I can't imagine you're accuracy would be too good though...
I wrote a stupid pi$$-take mission, based on DS mission 1, that was "Apocalypse Now". All the guy wanted to do was get to the beach and do some surfin'. And there's a jeep gets destroyed by napalm to get the inevitable line in a pop-up box "I love the smell of napalm in the morning..." As missions go, it's pretty crap, but I was just havin' some fun seeing what I could do. I've got guys playing cards round a fire and stuff like that...
Don't quite know why I bothered typing all that, actually... Another useless post from Gav, perhaps! /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Well, now was that "a warm fuzzy feeling" or "feeling a warm fuzzy"? I guess it wouldn't matter we probably don't need to know about it either way... /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif
