I dont know how it is out there, but its -20 here and schools have been closed for 2 days which is amazing because our school goes to the bitter end before they call a snow day. Oh, yeah. Happy (belated) New Year to everybody!!!

Well, it gets below zero where I am but we still have school going on... in fact tomorrow is the first day of exams for us! Ick!
And they are still planning on doing Primal Scream tonight... I bet the people who are doing that are going to be a little chilly...

Hi anyguy...good to see you again. Schools have been closed by me too (except the colleges like Speedy) because we are even colder. As of last night they were only delayed today, but they may have changed their minds this morning...I haven't been paying attention.

Here's a little bit of useful advice when you get older; there are NO SNOW DAYS in college (unless you go to school down south where when it snows, they need to shut down the city) unless the teacher cannot make it in for class (which is unlikely).

Sounds like good preparation for real life to me.

The weather never shuts anything down here (despite the constant rumour that schools close if it gets over 40C - they don't).

I'm with MM here. Adults in the working world don't get snowdays. Well, unless major roads get closed or in the odd case all roads. Today was bad, cold, blowing snow schools and several roads were closed...but adults still had to go to work.
