I've had LOMAC for about two months, and the mission editor is so confusing, with no documentation to speak of, and always seem to get booted out of LOMAC backto windows. You start to lose your mind when all you can do is play free flight in daytime conditions....

if anyone has time or can direct me to a link on a step by step setup of a mission, or some kind of tutorial, I shall regain some of my sanity.......

thank you

You mean it crashes? Did you install the patch?

What particular probelms do you have?

The heart of the mission editor is setting waypoints and tasks.

Select which unit you want to create on the left (air, vehicle, ship) and set the waypoints and tasks on the right.

I can do a step-by-step to a simple mission in a Word-doc and send, just give me your email adress.

If you can read french, "checksix-fr.com" has a nice intro to mission editor too. There was a thread entitiled "Mision Editor" fri Mar 26th 6:46pm by akula203 asking the same thing as you. a guy called ArveErikson did an english translation of it into that thread which is helpful, including the links to the pictures.

I think I read that checksix are moving server this weekend so might be down for a day or two.

M_Dutchman has a nice guide to advanced mission editing on his site, cant recall the address, but a quick hunt around this forum should find it.

My orders came through. My squadron ships out tomorrow. We're bombing the storage depots at Daiquiri at 1800 hours. We're coming in from the north, below their radar.
When will you be back?
I can't tell you that. It's classified.

Here's the link for M_Dutchman's tutorial, looks good.

I'll jot down some basic pointers and add a few screenies, just give me a little time. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif
