Sounds become static en pops after playing for a few minutes.

My specs are:
Windows XP professional SP1
DirectX 9.0b
Latest video and soundcard drivers:
ATI Catalyst 4.2
Creative EAX 4.0 ADVANCED HD Driver Update for Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2/Audigy 2 ZS 19/11/2003

GigaByte GA-8KNXP mainboard
1 x Intel Pentium 4 3GHz HT enabled
2 x 512MB PC3200 GeiL Golden Dragon, dual channel 2,5 / 7 / 3 /3
Soundblaster Audigy 2 ZS
Saphire Radeon 9800 Pro 128 MB
2x Maxtor 80GB, 8MB cache RAID 0 (Striping)

How is this possible???? Only with this game I get static noises en popping sounds when I'm playing. I checked my sounddrivers, I checked and changed my hardware accelleration,
I checked my DirectX settings, I checked my hardwaredrivers and IRQ settings (no conflicts). I have a seperate IRQ for my soundcard and my video adapter. I have tried different versions of drivers (I use now the latest!). I tried other memory timings, I altered the PCI latency timings but it also did'nt help. I tried other BIOS updates, I re-installed Windows XP two times. Damn...wat is the problem.

I played the game on low, normal and full settings, but it makes no difference, with or without the 1.01 patch

You need to disable 3D sound acceleration.

Run "dxdiag", select the sound tab and drag the slider to "no acceleration". This should get rid of the snap cracle and pop plus boost your framerate a little.
