Please help! I've gotten pretty far in Riven and I'm trying to unlock those dome things. I have written down all the numbers you can see from that little game thing in the School, and I'm still really lost. I'll describe the ones I don't get and hopefully you all can help me.

The first number is that KI number three. I get that one. It's the rest I don't know.

The second one has the KI with the ten lump thing. I thought it might be 13.

The third one has the four symbol and the ten symbol together, so I thought it was 14.

The fourth on has the KI and then an extra little diagonal line at the bottom of the K between the K and the I

The fifth one looks like this: )L With the side walls, roof and floor. You know, the square that surrounds all the D'ni numbers?

Anyways, that's where I'm stuck.

I haven't played Riven recently so I don't lnow the right numbers, but these links might help you. They both have items on D'ni/ Riven numbers.

Hanna, we usually try to give hints on this board instead of direct answers or links to direct answers. Figuring out the numbers is one of the puzzles of Riven so if we can give people a nudge and still let them solve the puzzle on their own, all the better http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Elenwyn figuring out the D'ni number system takes a bit of thinking about the first 10 symbols you were given at the school. And I'm hoping you wrote them down on paper.

Look at them closely, notice how they change from single symbols to symbols within symbols. If you counted the ticks while playing the game in the school, you know which symbol represents which decimal number.

Now, following the logic of the first ten given you can deduce the rest up to 25. Just be patient and think about what you are looking at.

Adding to what Homer says:

Write down the numbers 1-5 in a row, in order

Then write the numbers 6-10 below them in order.

If you notice the pattern of how the numbers 1-5 relate to the numbers 6-10, you should be able to continue writing the numbers 15-25.

PrincessXenobia, you are absolutely right and I stand corrected.
I should have told Elenwyn she was on the right track and then gave the links if she couldn't find the answer.
But I also wanted to show her the wonderfull webpages people made and how they can help you like using an encyclopedia or a dictionary.
Next time I will try to gibe more of a nudge.
(provided I know what the nudge should be http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif )

Don't sweat it, Hanna. It's great that you're here to help everyone enjoy the games! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-happy.gif
