Popups on the board

I keep getting popups when I'm on ubi forums. se.msnusers.com login, apparently. They want me to log on to MSNKommunitie. I don't remember any before, and they seem to get past my popup zapper - any explainations as to how they do that?

yeah i get that too. I think its coming from one of the forum members when their sig is trying to load. I think its fornic cause i get that on every thread he has replied on.

At first i see nothing on his avatar and sig. When i click cancel on the pop-up they then turn into red x's so i guess he has to find some better hosting.

Yep, and it's something the mods should deal with cause it's intrusive. I agree it seems to be fornic's sig causing it.

No, its not spyware. Think about it, its kind of weird that all of us (yes me, I see the window too) are getting the same exact popup. I have ad aware so I remove all spyware constantly. So the chances of a spyware getting past the detection and only messing with us when we come onto these forums are pretty slim.

It is indeed fornics sig. Everytime there is a thread where he posted it pops up and I click cancel and then both his avatar and his sig appear as red "X"s. Someone needs to tell him to get rid of his sig and avatar immediately. These german popups are very annoying.

This is the problem:

Fornic uses the servers of MSN Communities to host his sig. But there's a security on these servers so only MSN users can see it. So everytime it tries to load, a window comes poppin' up, askin' you to log in or register

The board should allow us to set ignores on other users with annoying sigs, etc. Not having an ignore feature is ridiculous. With all these obnoxious animated sigs flashing in my face it's really hard to read messages, which is why I come here.

Because the board should have an ignore feature so we, as adults, can monitor who we do and don't want to participate with. Maybe the mods prefer to act as hall monitors, rather than admit the software needs to let us do some of our own monitoring?

This forum software does not have that feature... therefore there is no use carrying on about it.. cos it wont/cant happen..

SO the best thing to do is to put up with it, let the mods help out
OR
go elsewhere where you can get a forum software that does all that...

I'm old enough to to be able to ignore people ... I dont need any software to do it for me...
