I have terrible pops and cracks and sound breaking up, and some sounds disappearing on my system with an Audigy 2. Its making the game unplayable. I've tried reducing the acceleration etc but nothing works. If I switch on compatibility the distortion goes away but the sounds are about two seconds out of sync. Any ideas?

Athlon XP 2600+
MSI K7N2 Delta (nforce 2 400 ultra)
1gb ram (ddr 333)
Audigy 2
Hauppauge PVR 250
Radeon 9600 Pro (128MB)

I have basically the same system and havent experienced any problems with my sound.Try updating your drivers and check your speaker settings

Its a bug with using Audigy2 cards on an NFORCE2 mobo.
Pain in the ***. The supplied readme file that came with far cry recommends setting your hardware mixing to 2 using dxdiag, but doesnt work.
I also get it in XIII, DX IW, UT 2004 and many others.
